My name is Raymond Lee Roop III but most of my friends call me Ray. I was born in Montgomery, West Virginia. I have two older sisters and I being incarcerated in Georgia for over 10 years; close to 13 years now actually. My aunt Linda and her husband adopted me and I've lived in California with them. I was a troubled teen and ended up leaving my family, living on the streets doing drugs and generally making a mess of my life. I put myself in a position where it was easy for me to be tried and convicted of several crimes I didn't commit. I was young and stupid. I allowed any semblance of control slip away and ended up almost killing myself with alcohol and drugs. I've learned a lot about myself and had plenty of time to contemplate my life and where I am now. I am an artist; I love to write letters out like to make new friends. My life lessons have been hard but I feel much stronger and centered than I ever have. I hope to meet honest and sincere people; I need all the friends I can get.
