First and foremost, I extend my sincere deepest gratitude and appreciation to you and I thank you for considering to write me a letter. I understand that not everybody share the same desire as you do to write someone who is incarcerated, however, please let me assure you that my intentions are most definitely positive. I am not in prison for doing good but I have learned to live a life doing right, being a more productive person and contribute to society, and being a man of high esteem. I spend my time wisely in prison by attending Merced College, mentoring youth offenders, reading &-studying, and by participating in my self help curriculum so I can continue to grow and be a better black man. But my main goal and dream is to earn my degree in Sociology and to become a certified drug counselor, because I have battled with drug addiction for many years and now that I am clean & sober I want to give back and help others to overcome their addiction. Being separated from society has allowed me the opportunity to think, soul search, reflect back on my life, and appreciated my freedom and understand the true value of a woman's worth and her God-given divine purpose in my life. The touch and smell of a woman, holding her tight in my arms and listening to her thoughts and ideas are just a few of the many things I truly do miss. What is attractive to me more than anything else is a woman with a beautiful heart and spirit, internal beauty, the kind that emanates through a woman's character and contributes to defining the true person who she really is. I am definitely open to anyone who wants to pour their heart into a positive and genuine friendship. I have a good sense of humor, I love to laugh and smile, and I give off positive ions and good energy.
