"Searching for a friend."
I watch as the mailman passes my cell once again. I listen as other inmates become gleeful when receiving mail from friends, family, wives and girlfriends. I shut off my light and lay down in bed in the abyss of darkness and loneliness. Is the light of hope in my heart? I know that this world is not so cruel; that someone is out there who is willing to be a friend. If you'd like to become friends, be free to write me. Hope to hear from you soon.
