May I hold your hand?
May I walk with you?
May I talk to you?
There are so many things that we can do.
If I held your hand, I’d take you far away;
So much I would say to you.
If I can have your time,
May I kiss your lips with mine?
Imagine how the stars would shine - if we could share the moon;
And if we share the moon tonight, we can talk of lessons learned, say the things we’ve yearned to say, and fade our pains away.
So, may I touch your skin with mine; make our hearts and minds intertwine?
